Call for Workshops and Tutorials
EuroSys 2026 will be held in Edinburgh, UK, April 27–30, 2026.
We invite proposals for workshops and tutorials to be held on Monday April 27, 2026, the day before the main conference. These events provide a forum for community interaction, in-depth exploration, and dissemination of emerging topics.
Please note that no online/hybrid workshops will be held this year.
Scope
We welcome proposals in all areas of computer systems, broadly defined, including operating systems, distributed systems, security, data management, cloud and datacenter infrastructure, systems for AI/ML, emerging hardware, and related domains.
- Workshops foster discussion and collaboration on research directions.
- Tutorials provide educational deep dives into tools, techniques, or emerging areas.
Both may be half-day or full-day, and should encourage active engagement.
Proposal Format
Proposals should fill out a form with the following details:
- The workshop name and a 150–200-word abstract describing the workshop suitable for the conference website.
- A short bio of each of the organizers including contact addresses and an identification of a single primary contact.
- A short summary of the topic, scope and significance of the workshop, including a discussion on the relevance to EuroSys topics (please include information about past iterations of the workshop, if any).
- Information about the procedure for selecting papers and/or presentations, plans for dissemination (for example, online proceedings, special issues of journals, position statements distributed to the participants, etc.), the expected number of participants, and the planned workshop format.
- Tentative schedule including paper submission dates, notification dates, camera-ready dates (if any), and registration.
- Indicate whether the workshop or tutorial is a half- or full-day event.
The publication of proceedings is not a requirement for EuroSys workshops. For workshops interested in publishing their proceedings on the ACM Digital Library, the EuroSys organization will provide the following support. Workshop proceedings will be published in separate volumes from the EuroSys conference proceedings, but will be listed as side events of the conference in the ACM Digital Library. The publication process is under the responsibility of the workshop organizers but the main conference publication chair will provide the following bootstrap support:
- Establish contact between the ACM services and workshop publication officers.
- Provide ISBN numbers.
Review and Acceptance
Proposals will be evaluated by the EuroSys 2026 Workshop & Tutorial Chairs based on:
- Relevance and interest to the EuroSys community.
- Clarity and feasibility of the plan.
- Diversity of topics and organizers.
- Expected potential for interaction and/or educational value.
Previous editions of a workshop/tutorial are considered, but do not guarantee acceptance.
